KiteFest 2012

When: Saturday 19th May. (10am - 3pm) & Sunday 20th May. (9am - 4pm)
Where: Clontarf - Pelican Park

Held on the third weekend in May, skilled Kite-flyers take to the sky in Pelican Park Clontarf for Queensland’s multiple award winning Kitefest.

Kites of all shapes and sizes appear throughout the day from giant octopus, mermaids, frilly neck lizards and many more.

Dual line formation tam flying, dual line kite stacks, kite trains and kite arches fill the sky with spectacular colour.

On the ground festival goers can enjoy quality arts and crafts markets, amusement rides and exciting foods from around the world. This year we will be extending the markets along to Bells Beach so it will be bigger and better this year, there will be plenty of room for everyone.
